Dakota Blue Richards, an English actress who is well known for her performance as Lyra as a character in The Golden Compass and Franky in Skins. She also starred in the British film 'Skins.' The actress has also been active on stage, performing in productions of plays like "Arcadia" and "A Streetcar Named Desire'. Richards, a Londoner by birth, grew up on her home on the Sussex coast. She attended a few drama classes at school, however majority of her drama classes were offered on weekend days. She also skipped school to go to auditions. This was her first film as an actor. While the film garnered an unfavorable response, Richards received widespread positive reviews for her performance.
